Sports Integration

Integrating sports in the curriculum fosters holistic development, promotes physical and psychological well-being and enhances cognitive abilities of the learners. Deeply embedded in the school curriculum, Sports integration utilizes physical activities to help develop skills such as collaboration, self-initiative, self-direction, self-discipline, teamwork, responsibility and citizenship. At DLF, learners adopt fitness as a lifelong attitude. Activities like fitness, yoga, skating, lawn-tennis, swimming, basketball, football and cricket are conducted regularly as envisaged in the Fit India Movement.

Holistic Development

The aim of education is not only cognitive development, but to also build character and create holistic and well-rounded individuals equipped with the key 21st century skills. At DLF, the impetus is to develop all capacities of our learners -intellectual, aesthetic, social, physical, emotional, and moral in an integrated manner. The focus is to create a wholesome learning environment with a very fine blend of scholastic and co-scholastic including socio-emotional learning and the well-being of the learners.

With an aim to ensure holistic development of our learners, apart from offering the Higher Oder Thinking Classes through THOTS Lab, STEAM Classes through Atal Tinkering Lab, and dedicated Life skills classes, we offer a variety of clubs and activities to give exposure to the learners through performing arts, visual and sports activities. This paves way for them to become independent learners, self-learners and lifelong learners!

Our learners are encouraged to blossom to their full potential - not just their Academic Potential – but also their HUMAN POTENTIAL and become their unique best selves-The Best of Who They Can Be!

Life and Career Skills

Today’s life and work environments require far more than thinking skills and content knowledge. We equip our learners with the ability to navigate the complex life and work environments in the globally competitive information age by developing adequate life and career skills such as:

  • Flexibility & Adaptability
  • Leadership and Responsibility
  • Initiative & Self-direction
  • Productivity & Accountability
  • Social & Cross-Cultural skills

We offer a plethora of opportunities to the learners to don these skills. Learners are groomed into Peer Leaders who further interact and cascade down important value lessons to their peers. Empathy Managers are appointed in every class who are responsible to create a positive, healthy and bully-free classroom environment. Learners also get the opportunity to mantle the role of House Captains and Representatives of the School Guild and thereby hone their skills at student leadership and at garnering peer group support.

To propagate entrepreneurial mindset at the formative stage, ‘Money Plant’- the School Enterprise Club is successfully established and sustained. It enables the learners to ‘Learn to earn, as they learn’ and engages students from the Commerce discipline in real life business, to apply what they study in classroom to actual challenges and practical situations. It further provides them a hands-on experience as young entrepreneurs, giving them a taste of real business along with the development of their vocational skills. This way the school prepares its learners to become Job-creators rather than just Job-seekers.
