Pre Primary Co-ordinator

The Pre-Primary Coordinator will lead and oversee the pre-primary section, ensuring the effective implementation of the curriculum, fostering the holistic development of young learners, and maintaining high educational and operational standards. The ideal candidate should have experience with both national and international early childhood education frameworks. Key Responsibilities: 1. Curriculum Development and Implementation Plan, design, and implement a balanced curriculum that integrates international and national standards. Oversee lesson planning, classroom activities, and assessment strategies. Ensure curriculum alignment with developmental milestones and learning outcomes. Introduce innovative teaching methodologies and ensure the integration of play-based and inquiry-based learning. 2. Staff Supervision and Development Recruit, train, and mentor pre-primary teachers to maintain high teaching standards. Conduct regular classroom observations and provide constructive feedback. Organize professional development sessions focused on pedagogy, classroom management, and international best practices. Facilitate a collaborative and supportive working environment among staff. 3. Student Development Monitor and assess student progress to ensure physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development. Identify and address individual learning needs in collaboration with teachers and parents. Promote a safe and nurturing environment for students to thrive. 4. Parent Engagement Organize workshops, parent-teacher meetings, and orientation sessions to engage parents in their child’s learning journey. Ability to organise and conduct Annual Functions/Sports Day/Other Activities. Address parent concerns and maintain regular communication to build trust and rapport. Share progress reports and updates in a timely and professional manner. 5. Operational Management Develop schedules, timetables, and resource plans for the pre-primary section. Ensure compliance with school policies, child safety norms, and international standards. Monitor the inventory and requisition of teaching aids, materials, and equipment. 6. Strategic Contributions Collaborate with school leadership to develop goals and strategies for the pre-primary section. Contribute to the marketing and outreach efforts of the school to attract and retain students. Stay updated on global trends in early childhood education and implement best practices. Qualifications and Skills: Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education Management, or a related field (mandatory). Master’s degree or certification in International Curriculum is highly preferred. Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of teaching experience in early childhood education. At least 2 years in a leadership or coordination role in a pre-primary setting. Experience with international curriculums like IB PYP Early Years, Montessori, or Reggio Emilia is preferred. Key Skills: Strong understanding of early childhood education frameworks. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Proficiency in curriculum design and assessment methodologies. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Ability to handle conflict resolution and provide constructive feedback. Tech-savvy with the ability to integrate technology into teaching and administration.
