In an unprecedented initiative, students of DLF Public School – ‘the changemakers’ as they are fondly called, inched closer to the school’s vision of transforming the world through their small, yet significant initiatives as they virtually collaborated to celebrate the 74th Independence Day. The event that was led by the Student Council turned out to be a block-buster as it did not fail to invoke the spirit of patriotism that seemed apparent and live throughout the event. The celebrations included a series of Inter-House events around the theme ‘Revamping India’ that included Potli kahaniyon Ki, Emcee competition, Open Mic and Open Letter competitions. The virtual celebrations streamed live on Microsoft Teams, right from flag hoisting to a virtual tour of the school which was specially organized on request of students who are missing school. Principal Seema Jerath in her address congratulated all the participants and the entire DLF family for maintaining solidarity in such crisis. She further said, ‘These times have taught us how interconnected the world is. Every problem has a solution. We just need to do collective thinking to find solutions. We confidently continue to nurture generation of changemakers who through their tiny yet significant acts contribute to bring a change in society at large. We are very happy that our children are a step ahead even in these testing times and they exhibit resilience and are fast to adapt to changing situations with ease.’
