DLF Public School bagged the Overall Best Performing School Award at the ‘Nanhi Jheel ke Naunihal’- National Poetry Recitation Competition. Over 750 students from 60 schools across the country enthusiastically participated in this first-of-its-kind online event that was organised by the Mumbai based Literary forum Jheel Ke Iss Paar. The event aimed to encourage love for Hindi – our national language and promote linguistic diversity and expression through poetry. An endeavour of its founder members Sh. Hempushpak Arora and Dr. Ruchi Jocher, an alumni and Researcher at IIT Mumbai, the event is an effort in line with the New Education Policy to uplift the status of Hindi as a major language of communication. Winners of various categories were declared during the Grand Finale that was aired live on Youtube. Delfites of Grades III to X bagged the top three positions in various categories. In I-III class category, Grade III Mannat Arneja emerged as a winner followed by Araj Arora at 3rd position. They are recipient of Cash Prizes of Rs 1100/- and Rs. 500/- respectively. In IV- V Class category, Vihaan Koul took the lead and bagged first position along with a cash prize of Rs 1100/-. In the final category of classes VI- X, while Grade VI Aadya Singh bagged the third prize with a cash prize of Rs 2100, Chaitanya Mathur of class X got the consolation prize. ‘DLF Public School focusses on the holistic development of every child and believes that each child is special and unique and has a hidden talent and strength. Each of the poem recitation by the budding poets truly echoed the words of the famous poetess Smt. Sumitra Nandan Pant that ‘Hindi is the simplest source of expression of our nation.’
