Recognition Day-one of the unique best practices of DLF Public School was celebrated amidst an aura of excitement and fervour followed by an Award Conferral Ceremony on the eve of the school entering into its 25th year of surging excellence. The event provided a platform to applaud every child’s unique strength. 750 young spirited Delfites of Classes Pre-Nursery to Grade III presented a scintillating and a soul-stirring self-composed extravaganza based on the theme ‘You vs U….’. Young delfites through their performances inspired everyone to challenge the Monster that dwells within us and endeavor to move from apathy to empathy, from lethargy to action, from wastage to reuse, from mental and physical contamination to cleaner self and surroundings, in order to live a fulfilling life. His Excellency Dr. Kamal Khandelwal, Chairman, Maharishi University of Information and Technology, who is also a seasoned diplomat and a social activist flew all the way from Dubai to grace the event and was greatly influenced by the school’s ideologies and endeavours. He felicitated the young achievers during the occasion. Another eminent guest Mr. Sundeep Talwar, CMO, The Akshaya Patra Foundation, while narrating experiences of his life stated that it is crucial to become a leader than a winner and it is more desirable to bring substance into life by learning to be in a giving mode rather than being in a receiving mode. Dr. Prabhat Kaushik, Director General, Zee Learning Ltd. emphasized that to carve a success story out of your child, good parenting should include spending quality time with your children, letting them live in present and allowing them to chase their passions rather than fulfilling your own expectations. While Executive Director of the school, Dr. Mrignaini in her address celebrated the school’s achievements and plans for future, Principal Seema Jerath took the audience through the 24 year journey of accomplishments and excellence as she highlighted the success stories of its alumni who are not only carving a niche for themselves in diverse areas but are also evolving as researchers and job creators.
