DLF Public School Represents India at World Children’s Day Festival Egypt

A group of 6 students and 2 teachers represented India at the 2019 edition of the World Children’s Day Festival in Cairo, Egypt. DLF Public School was the only school selected from India for the same. The festival is one of its kind presenting unique traditional folk arts at an international forum and was organized by the Youth and Sports Ministry under the sponsorship of Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli. The event witnessed over 500 participants from 22 countries including India, Romania, Ukraine, Poland, Mexico, France, Syria, Palestine, Sri Lanka, Yemen, Jordan, Sudan, Morocco, Bangladesh and Tunisia amongst many others. The six day festival was inaugurated by the Youth and Sports Minister Ashraf Sobhi, Egypt. Each of the participating cultural troupes showcased their distinct unique folk. The celebration included a number of art shows featuring the culture of each of participating country. A historical city tour, a visit to Pyramid of Giza - the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, Nile River and a Peace Workshop were part of the festival. ‘The festival serves as an annual destination for artists, students and audiences to engage in activities and performances that foster a creative exchange of ideas, encourage exploration and aim at creating a more peaceful world through exchange of art and culture’, shared Ms. Patrali, Choreographer Teacher.
