Sunsets are proof that endings can often be beautiful too. DLF Public School hosted ‘Shubhakanksha’ – a bouquet of blessings’, a farewell ceremony for its outgoing class XII undergraduates who continued to be an inseparable part and parcel of the school for more than 14 years of their association. As the school stepped into its silver jubilee year, the celebration was highlighted with the outgoing students donning graduation robes and caps. The event was marked with nostalgia of years spent together in school, as students, parents and teachers took this opportunity to express their reminiscences and experiences. Their next in Class XI hosted a warm and a colourful musical adieu for their seniors, which included electrifying beats and dance performances. The twelfthies shared their feelings towards the school as they expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the invaluable life skills and learnings that they will treasure and cherish throughout their lives. Parents expressed their happiness and pride in seeing their children emerge as promising youngsters with a good blend of education and character, as they stand on the threshold of a new phase of their life. Dr. Mrignaini, Executive Director of the school conveyed her best wishes to the outgoing students, while emphasising that each one of them should have the audacity of dreaming big as everything is possible if one has the right blend of passion, perseverance, persistence and determination. She further advised the students to unleash their imaginations, combine it with knowledge, temper it with wisdom and let their actions create impact as they script success stories for others to follow. In her valedictory address, Principal Seema Jerath while celebrating the turning point in the lives of the outgoing lot quoted Khalil Gibran that parents and teachers are like bows and children are like arrows, the more the bow stretches and bends, the further flies the arrow. Adding that gratitude is the highest emotion one can have and if one has an attitude for gratitude, abundance and happiness will follow; she stressed that, ‘a new school called ‘Life’ is waiting outside for you and your experiences will be your new teachers. Keep the student alive in you and become a real hero by making right choices.’
